Please add Benny Meyer, HSU alumnus, to the prayer list. Benny and his wife Ernestine live in northern Virginia. He has battled cancer twice in the last five years, had radical surgery, and endured a horrible ordeal already. His attitude is still amazing, and he is grateful to God that he is still alive.
Benny has just been diagnosed with lung cancer, and it has spread to his collar bone and a lymph node next to his spine. He begins chemotherapy this Friday. He is a little optimistic because the nodes are very small, but somewhat pessimistic because of the aggressive expansion. Benny and Ernestine had planned to attend his Golden Reunion here at HSU in April. He has not completely given up hopes of making it.
Please be in prayer for Benny and Ernestine. They have both endured so much these last five years. She has been a wonderful caretaker (when needed) and encourager. Benny has incredible determination, which certainly helps.
