Emily Stogsdill Released from the Hospital Today

Emily Stogsdill Released from the Hospital Today

I received this from Steve today:

Emily’s surgery was a success! God is good. On the morning of our 12y/o daughter’s surgery we were an hour late to the hospital and stuck in traffic in Chicago. A white van slipped past us with the license plate, “GOD GO B4” and I knew He was telling us that He is still in control.

There have been some complications with blood clotting and doctors are working to find the right balance with blood thinners.

But a CT scan yesterday revealed the bypass to her liver is working! Praise the Lord!

She is being released today and will stay with my wife in Chicago at the nearby Ronald McDonald House for several weeks for follow up appointments.

Thanks to everyone for your love and support, and most of all your prayers. Jesus continually reveals His sovereign hand in all of this.

Department of Communication

  1. I cannot imagine all your family has been through with this trial and just want to praise God for the outcome. Thank you for sharing this with us….your faith has been a real encouragement and the strength of this little girl is amazing. Continued prayers that it won’t be long before your family can be home and well.
